Textile treasure trove in Chelsea

Posted by on Oct 16, 2014 .

Silk Chassis will join more than 100 textile designer-makers and entrepreneurs at the Selvedge Winter Fair on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November 2014, at Chelsea Old Town Hall, the King’s Road, London.

A treasure trove of superb craftsmanship and creativity, the fair offers an unrivalled range of accessories, interiors, clothes, antique textiles and haberdashery – all handmade.

It’s a first for Silk Chassis, but Selvedge Winter Fair is now in its fifth year, and a wonderful weekend outing. Easy to reach from Sloane Square tube, it’s perfectly positioned for some early Christmas shopping and a visit to the V&A or a stroll down the King’s Road. There’ll be a pop up café at the fair – ideal for mulling over the myriad gift ideas or perhaps deciding on a small something yourself!

Do pop by the Silk Chassis stand (C19) in the small hall – we’d love to see you. We’ll showcase our new elephant scarves, Kala Bo, Himalayan woolens, bold block prints from Bengal, and natural-dyed, soft silks from Burma – both the latter are experimental and not online, so all the more reason to visit Selvedge Winter Fair and snap up a genuinely unique scarf.

There’s exciting news about Silk Chassis’ bestselling range too: Saraswati, our two-tone silk scarves from Varanasi, burst into autumn with a fabulous collection of colours.
